Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Alton McGriff serves as the pastor of Missionary Temple CME Church. With more than 15 years of pastoral leadership and a heart for serving both church and community, Pastor McGriff is committed to helping people grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover God's purpose for their lives.
Known for his practical, Bible-centered preaching, Pastor McGriff connects the timeless truth of Scripture with the realities of everyday life. His messages are inspiring, relevant, and grounded in the belief that God's grace empowers people to overcome challenges, embrace new possibilities, and live with hope.
Pastor McGriff is passionate about building a church that reflects the diversity, strength, and spirit of San Francisco. He believes the church should be a place where people from every background, culture, generation, and life experience can come together in faith and fellowship.
Pastor McGriff and his wife, Dr. Dori McGriff, are proud parents of three children. Together, they share a commitment to faith, family, and service. Under his leadership, Missionary Temple continues its mission of sharing Christ's love through worship, outreach, fellowship, and community impact.
